H18 Open Studio Party with Chris Shaw & Chuck Sperry Hangar 18, 1428 34th Street, Oakland, CA Friday, October 18, 2013 – 6:00pm – 11:00pm Join Chris Shaw and Chuck Sperry for Hometown Disadvantage at The Hangar 18 Open Studio Party on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 6pm to 11pm. The party is FREE and open to the public. This will the perfect opportunity for local and out-of-town attendees (including Artists) of The Rock Poster Society’s Festival of Posters to hang in a fun, informal atmosphere. Join us as we also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the website Expressobeans.com! Chris Shaw will be exhibiting his paintings, (a few pictured below) while Chuck Sperry will feature his large format screen prints. The Art of Moonalice

An exhibit of Rock Posters cre­ated for the band Moonalice.

Moonal­ice is a band that com­mis­sions a poster for every gig and gives them away for free. Since the band’s for­mation in 2007, Moonalice has pro­duced a unique series of over 460 orig­inal gig posters with artwork from over 20 artists.

Posters in the Moonalice series feature artwork from many of the legendary poster artists of the psy­che­delic 60’s as well as today’s top rock poster artists. Moonal­ice is a band that lets poster artists do what they do best “make art! Unen­cum­bered by stan­dard con­straints, Moonal­ice posters are as diverse as the artists who cre­ate them.

On Fri­day April 20, 2012, Moon­al­ice proudly presents it’s 420 Tribal Pow-Wow at Slim’s.
A night full of Moonalice music and a special Moonalice poster art exhibit.
Doors open at 6:00pm!

Moonalice’s 3 Set con­cert starts at 7:20pm, admission is $4.20 at the door.

The Art of Moonalice

An exhibit of Rock Posters created for the band Moonalice.

Moonalice is a band that commissions a poster for every gig and gives them away for free. Since the band’s formation in 2007, Moonalice has produced a unique series of over 450 original gig posters with artwork from over 20 artists.

Moonalice posters feature artwork from many of the legendary poster artists of the psychedelic 60’s as well as today’s top rock poster artists. Moonalice is a band that lets poster artists do what they do best – make art! Unencumbered by standard constraints, Moonalice posters are as diverse as the artists who create them.

On Sunday, April 8, 2012, Moonalice proudly presents a concert and poster show at the Brooklyn Bowl. The full series of Moonalice posters will be on display and available for purchase at this first ever East Coast event. Many Moonalice poster artists will be attending the event in-person. The doors open at high noon, all events are FREE including Moonalice’s concert that will follow the poster show in the evening.
